Chef Mike started his culinary journey nearly 2 decades ago at the age of 17. Working his way up the restaurant ranks, he became more fascinated with food and where it came from. He learned how the animal was treated would directly affect its flavor outcome. With this principle in mind, he, along with his wife and daughter, started Liberty Grace Farms in 2022.
Suki is a Cornish-Cross. He was one of the first roosters on our farm before we organized as a business. He is like a big puppy dog, and we love him!
Sugar is one of seven Pygmy goats we have here on the farm. She is a sweetheart and helps make our goat's milk soap. She loves head scratches in between her horns.
Roscoe is our first male breeding Pygmy goat. He is a ladies' man and won't back down to anyone no matter the size. He really helps us keep the grass cut!
Lulu came with the purchase of the farm in the beginning. She is a longhorn mix. She loves her treats and eating lots of grass!
John is our wethered Nigerian Dwarf. He is the protector of our nannies around the farm. He loves Sugar more than anything because they grew up together. Although sometimes stubborn, he is a fun part of our crew!
We raise Red Wattle and Red Wattle cross pigs on the farm. In the Spring through the Fall they are on silvopasture. In the winter they are in the hoop house helping us till the ground for the next spring garden.
